Man Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Accident on 10th Street West [Lancaster, CA]
Male Pedestrian Pronounced Dead after Hit-and-Run near Avenue H
LANCASTER, CA (February 27, 2024) – Wednesday evening, a pedestrian accident on 10th Street West claimed the life of one man.
Dispatchers received calls in the area around 7:30 p.m., just north of Avenue H.
Officers say the driver of a vehicle was heading south on 10th Street West, and struck a man who was walking in the middle southbound lane. Upon impact, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid or contacting authorities.
Responding emergency personnel declared the male pedestrian, described to be in his 70s, deceased at the scene. The Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner has not released the identity of the victim.
Additionally, police have not released any information regarding the suspect or the suspect’s vehicle.
Lancaster Officials are asking those who witnessed the fatal 10th Street West pedestrian crash to contact the Lancaster Sheriff’s Station at 661-948-8466.
