One Driver Killed, One Injured in Violent Crash on State Route 95

LAKE HAVASU CITY, AZ (February 22, 2024) – Monday afternoon, one driver was killed a head-on collision on North McCulloch Boulevard.

The incident occurred just after 1:00 p.m., at the intersection of South Acoma Boulevard and Demaret Drive.

According to reports, authorities spotted a 2019 Chevrolet Camaro driving at high speeds. However, the Camaro failed to stop for the officers. Police then spotted the Camaro near Sweetwater Avenue and South McCulloch Boulevard.

The Camaro committed multiple traffic violations, and authorities continued to pursue the suspect leading them on southbound State Route 95. The Camaro then entered the highway and collided head-on with a northbound recreational vehicle.

The driver of the Camaro sustained life-threatening injuries which later led to his death. His identity was not yet released by the authorities.

Meanwhile, a passenger of the recreational vehicle suffered minor injuries and was transported to Havasu Regional Medical Center. Further investigation into the head-on collision on North McCulloch Boulevard is currently underway.
