82-Year-Old Woman Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near North Kelsey Street
MONROE, WA (February 22, 2024) – Early Monday morning, police responded to a fatal pedestrian accident on US Highway 2.
The incident happened around 6:50 a.m., February 12th, in the northbound lanes of the highway near North Kelsey Street.
Furthermore, the Monroe Police Department arrived at the scene and found an 82-year-old woman lying on the roadway with critical injuries. She was declared dead by the authorities.
Investigation showed that the old woman was crossing the highway when she was struck by the vehicle headed westbound.
Meanwhile, the driver remained at the scene and he fully cooperated with the authorities. The identity of the woman will be released by the Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office after further investigation.
