84-Year-Old Male Passenger Killed in Two-Vehicle Collision near Arroyo Avenue

MOJAVE, CA (February 21, 2024) – Friday afternoon, Sherry Adams and Nathan Reyes were involved in a 2-car accident on Highway 14.

Authorities responded to the scene around 3:32 a.m., near Arroyo Avenue on February 16th.

Per reports, the driver of a 2018 Mitsubishi sedan made a left turn into the Stater Brothers parking lot while heading south on the freeway. 

There, the driver of a sedan traveling in the opposite direction collided with the Mitsubishi.

Responding medical personnel declared the 84-year-old male passenger of the Mitsubishi deceased at the scene. 

Authorities later identified the Mitsubishi driver as 53-year-old Sherry Marie Adams, of Lancaster and the Infiniti driver as 53-year-old Nathan Reye, of California City. 

At this time, Mojave Officials are asking those who witnessed the fatal collision to contact the CHP Mojave at (661) 823-5500.
