2 Drivers Pronounced Dead after Car Collision on North Lamb Boulevard [Las Vegas, NV]
60-Year-Old Man and 17-Year-Old Man Killed in Car Crash on East Bonanza Road
LAS VEGAS, NV (February 20, 2024) – Early Saturday morning, two people died in a car collision on North Lamb Boulevard and East Bonanza Road.
On February 10th, just before 4:15 a.m., the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to the scene.
The accident involved a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado by a 17-year-old man and a 2004 Toyota Scion XB driven by a 60-year-old man.
Upon investigation, authorities determined that the Chevy was speeding in the northbound lanes of Lamb Boulevard. The Toyota then entered the intersection while the Chevy drove through a red light, causing a collision.
Upon impact, both drivers were ejected from their vehicles. Due to the severity of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the Toyota driver died at the scene. Authorities have yet to release his identity at this time.
Consequently, responding paramedics transported the Chevy driver to University Medical Center Trauma Center where he later succumbed to his injuries.
Following the incident, authorities stated that speed and impairment were suspected as the factors of the crash. The LVMPD’s Collision Investigation Section is handling further investigation.
