Rider Dies in Motorcycle Collision on North Green Valley Parkway [Las Vegas, NV]
Motorcyclist Fatally Struck in Accident near East Sunset Road
LAS VEGAS, NV (February 20, 2024) – Thursday afternoon, police responded to a collision on North Green Valley Parkway and East Sunset Road.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the collision happened on February 8th around 3:00 p.m. and involved a motorcyclist and a gold Toyota sedan.
Furthermore, the troopers learned that the rider headed eastbound on Sunset Road while the Toyota headed westbound.
Moreover, the Toyota failed to yield right-of-way to the rider and it turned in front of the rider for reasons unknown. The 54-year-old rider then sustained life-threatening injuries, and paramedics immediately transported him to the hospital.
Unfortunately, just moments after the rider sustained injuries, he succumbed to his injuries and died. His identity has been withheld by the Clark County Coroner’s Office, and his next of kin was notified.
Meanwhile, no word was released if the driver faced any charges, and an active investigation is currently underway.
