Orianna Nicole Diosdado Killed in Garbage-Truck vs Pedestrian Accident on 19th Avenue [Phoenix, AZ]
21-Year-Old Female Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Garbage-Truck near Union Hills Drive
PHOENIX, AZ (February 20, 2024) – Thursday, Orianna Nicole Diosdado was killed in a garbage-truck vs pedestrian accident on 19th Avenue.
Officers responded to the scene around 3:30 p.m., near Union Hills Drive on February 15th.
Per reports, the driver of a garbage-truck was heading north and made a turn onto Union Hills Drive. There, the garbage-truck struck Diosdado who was crossing within a marked crosswalk.
Despite life-saving efforts, medics later pronounced 21-year-old Diosdado dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the garbage-truck driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
Emergency crews blocked off the intersection for several hours during cleanup and preliminary duties. Once available, more details will be provided.
