Driver Pronounced Dead after Crashing into St. David’s North Austin Medical Center

AUSTIN, TX (February 15, 2024) – Tuesday, Michell Holloway was killed and several were hurt in an auto collision on Mopac Expressway.

Authorities responded to the scene around 5:38 p.m., at the 12221 block of Mopac Expressway.

The events leading up to the incident remain unclear. However, reports indicate that a driver lost control and crashed into the St. David’s North Austin Medical Center emergency room.

The Austin Fire Department extricated Holloway from the damaged vehicle and administered CPR. Despite life-saving efforts, crews later pronounced Holloway deceased.

Meanwhile, emergency responders transported two adults and two children who were inside the emergency room at the time, to nearby hospitals for further treatment.

An active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Once available, more details will be provided.
