Man Dies in Pedestrian Collision near North Broadway Street
LOS ANGELES, CA (February 15, 2024) – Early Wednesday morning, one male pedestrian was fatally struck in a DUI accident on Ord Street.
The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m., at the intersection of North Broadway and Ord Street.
Based on the initial investigation, the driver of a northbound vehicle struck a male pedestrian and circled around to block before returning to the scene. In additoin, a second vehicle hit the pedestrian but fled before authorities arrived.
Responding medical personnel declared the male pedestrian deceased at the scene. Officials only described the victim as a man in his 50s or 60s.
Meanwhile, police arrested the 40-year-old male driver of the initial vehicle for suspected DUI. Police have not provided any description of the second suspect or their vehicle.
