28-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Crash near West Century Boulevard

LOS ANGELES, CA (February 15, 2024) – Late Monday night, Alfred Joseph Marvray IV was fatally struck in a DUI crash on South Western Avenue.

The incident occurred around 11:50 p.m., near West Century Boulevard.

Investigators say the driver of a southbound Tesla Model 3 ran through a red light at a high rate of speed. As a result, the Tesla collided with a silver Chevrolet Malibu going east on Century Boulevard.

First responders declared the driver of the Malibu deceased at the scene. Authorities later identified the victim as 28-year-old Marvray IV.

Meanwhile, police arrested the Tesla driver – identified as 26-year-old Destiney Baker of Hawthorne – for suspected DUI. Baker was later booked into jail on a $2 million bail.
