Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash on West Anderson Lane [Austin, TX]
Suspect Still at Large after Killing One Pedestrian in Hit-and-Run Crash
AUSTIN, TX (February 14, 2024) – Early Sunday morning, the police responded to a hit-and-run crash in the 600 block of West Anderson Lane.
It occurred just before 4:20 a.m., February 4th, just east of North Lamar Boulevard.
According to the Austin Police Troopers, a passenger left a vehicle while it was mobilized. Another vehicle later then struck the passenger which fled the scene.
Furthermore, the Austin-Travis EMS responded to the scene and unfortunately, they pronounced the victim dead at the scene. Their identity was not yet released by the troopers.
At this time, there was no information available on the suspect or the vehicle. Also, the driver of the vehicle where the passenger left remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Further investigation is still active, and witnesses are encouraged to call the APD’s Vehicular Homicide Unit at 512-974-8111.
