63-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Truelson Avenue

HEMET, CA (February 13, 2023) – Tuesday evening, Richie Thomas was fatally struck in a pedestrian crash on Winchester Road. 

Emergency personnel responded to the scene shortly after 6:45 p.m., on the eastbound lanes just west of Truelson Avenue. 

According to reports, a pedestrian was attempting to cross the highway when he was struck by a vehicle. Despite life-saving efforts, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries at the scene. 

The Riverside County Coroner’s Bureau later identified the deceased victim as 63-year-old Thomas, of Hemet.

No further details regarding the Winchester Road pedestrian crash have been released to the public at this time, Hemet Officials will provide more information once available.
