One Pronounced Dead Following Bicycle-Auto Collision on Redding Way [Perris, CA]
Bicycle Accident near A Street Resulted in Fatality
PERRIS, CA (February 13, 2024) – Friday afternoon, a bicycle-auto collision on Redding Way took the life of one person.
The deadly incident happened around 2:55 p.m. at the intersection of Redding Way and A Street in the city of Perris.
Responding deputies discovered that a vehicle collided with a person riding a bicycle in the area. According to the investigators, the bicyclist made a left turn from Redding Way to A Street but failed to yield at a stop sign.
As a result, the bicyclist collided with the front end of the oncoming vehicle. Police said the driver involved stayed at the site of the collision and cooperated with the investigators.
Despite the life-saving efforts of the deputies, the bicyclist succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The identity of the deceased biker has not been released to the public, pending notification from the next of kin.
