45-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near La Sierra Avenue

RIVERSIDE, CA (February 12, 2024) –  Early Thursday morning, Patrick Glant was fatally struck by a big-rig on 91 Freeway.

Authorities responded to the scene around 1:45 a.m., on the westbound lanes of the freeway near La Sierra Avenue.

According to reports, the driver of a big-rig struck a male pedestrian who was walking on the lanes. Upon impact, the involved driver and several witnesses pulled over to the right shoulder.

Responding medical personnel declared the pedestrian dead at the scene. The CHP later identified the deceased victim as 45-year-old Glant, of Riverside. 

Officers closed down the westbound lanes of the freeway for clearing operations. Riverside officials will provide more information regarding the fatal pedestrian crash once available.
