Man Killed in DUI Pedestrian Accident on East Tropicana Avenue [Las Vegas, NV]
41-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Crash near South Maryland Parkway
LAS VEGAS, NV (February 12, 2024) – Friday evening, one male victim was killed in a DUI pedestrian accident on East Tropicana Avenue.
Dispatchers received calls in the area just before 8:30 p.m., near South Maryland Parkway on January 26th.
Officers say the driver of a 2022 Cadillac XT5 was heading east and struck a man who was crossing outside of a marked crosswalk.
Emergency personnel later pronounced the 41-year-old male pedestrian deceased.
Following preliminary duties, police say the Cadillac was not registered, and the driver remained at the scene. He displayed signs of impairment and police arrested him with DUI-related charges.
