43-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Hit-and-Run Collision near Bell Road

PHOENIX, AZ (February 12, 2024) – Saturday evening, Carlos Lopez-Chavez was killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Cave Creek Road.

Officers responded to the scene around 7:30 p.m., near Bell Road on February 3rd.

Following preliminary duties, police determined that the driver of a vehicle struck the male pedestrian as he was crossing mid-block.

First responders located 43-year-old Lopez-Chavez and pronounced him dead at the scene.
