Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Crash near Bryant Street
SAN FRANCISCO, CA (February 12, 2024) – Early Thursday morning, one victim was killed in a hit-and-run pedestrian collision on 6th Street.
Police responded to the scene around 5:00 a.m., at the 500 block of 6th Street, near Bryant Street.
Upon arrival, officers determined that an unknown vehicle hit the victim, leaving them with fatal injuries. However, the involved driver fled the scene without rendering aid to the victim.
Despite life-saving efforts, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Authorities have not yet released their identity.
Officials closed the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. San Francisco Officials are asking those who witnessed the crash to contact their offices as soon as possible.
