Three-Vehicle Collision near Kitching Street Left 2 People Dead, Three Others Injured
MORENO VALLEY, CA (February 9, 2024) – Monday evening, a multi-vehicle collision on Cactus Avenue took the lives of Isaac Piza and Keiana Bridgeforth.
The fatal incident happened around 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Cactus Avenue and Kitching Street near Perris.
According to the police, a grey Dodge Ram, a black Lexus sedan, and a white Dodge Ram collided during a rainstorm.
Responding emergency personnel declared the Lexus driver deceased at the scene. Police later identified the driver as 50-year-old Keiana Bridgeforth of Menifee.
Meanwhile, the grey Dodge Ram, with two passengers inside, went off into the flood channel adjacent to Cactus. Investigators said the driver was ejected from the vehicle while their passenger remained inside.
Eventually, rescuers managed to extricate the passenger from the pickup and transported them to a hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
However, the driver was later found floating in the channel near Evans Road and Ramona Expressway. Authorities identified the deceased driver as 25-year-old Isaac Piza of San Berardino.
Two other people from the white Dodge pickup sustained minor injuries. Moreno Valley officials are asking anyone with additional information about the crash to contact the Riverside County Sheriff’s Dispatch at 951-776-1099.
