SUV Vs Sedan Collision Near Lakeville Highway Kills 79-Year-Old Woman
PETALUMA, CA (February 9, 2024) – Thursday afternoon, a two-vehicle crash on Pine View Way took the life of Beverly Kleven.
The fatal collision happened around 12:20 p.m. along the northbound Pine View, near Lakeville Highway.
According to the police, a northbound SUV on Pine View attempted to turn left on westbound Lakeville.
However, an eastbound sedan driven by a 22-year-old man struck her vehicle before coming to a stop north of Lakeville. The impact of the collision left the SUV with significant driver-side damages.
The first responders said the woman driving the SUV succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
Meanwhile, the sedan sustained major damages in its front end. Responding paramedics transported the sedan driver to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries.
On Tuesday, the Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office identified the deceased female driver as 79-year-old Beverly Kleven.
Petaluma Officials closed down Lakeville Highway in both directions for at least six hours as crews investigated the incident.
