Multi-Vehicle Collision Near Andrea Boulevard Left Two Fatalities

NORTH HIGHLANDS, CA (February 7, 2024) – Sunday afternoon, a three-vehicle crash on Elkhorn Boulevard claimed the lives of two people. 

The fatal collision happened around 3:30 p.m. at the eastbound lanes of Eklhorn, near Andrea Boulevard. 

According to the report, a Honda Civic driving recklessly sideswiped a Nissan for unknown reasons. The impact of the crash sent the two cars in the path of westbound traffic, colliding with an oncoming Ford Maverick. 

Tragically, both drivers of the Civic and the Maerick sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene. Their identities remain undisclosed to the public, pending notification from the next of kin. 

Meanwhile, the female Maverick passenger in her 50s was transported to a hospital for major injuries. Paramedics also rushed the Nissan driver to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries. 

At this time, the CHP is working to determine whether drugs and alcohol contributed to the incident. Sacramento County officials will provide more information about the fatal Elkhorn Boulevard three-vehicle crash once available.
