Man Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Crash on Temple Avenue [Pomona, CA]
40-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Foley Way
POMONA, CA (February 7, 2024) – Tuesday evening, one man was fatally struck in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Temple Avenue.
Officers responded to the scene around 6:20 p.m., near Foley Way.
Per reports, the driver of a vehicle struck a male pedestrian who was attempting to cross Temple Avenue. Medical responders transported the victim to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
At this time, the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner only described the victim as a 40-year-old man.
Emergency personnel closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. Police have not released any information about the suspect or the suspect’s vehicle. The Pomona Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is leading the investigation.
