39-Year-Old Cyclist Pronounced Dead after Hit-and-Run Crash near Sahuara Avenue

TUCSON, AZ (February 6, 2024) – Early Saturday morning, Daniel Adam Vann was killed in a bicycle collision on East Grant Road.

Officers responded to the scene around 12:30 a.m., near Sahuara Avenue on January 27th.

Following preliminary duties, crews determined that the driver of a vehicle rear-ended a bicyclist in the area. Upon impact, the driver fled the scene without rendering aid or contacting authorities.

First responders located the bicyclist, Vann, on the ground with severe injuries. Paramedics transported 39-year-old Vann to a nearby hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

At this time, there is no available information about the suspect, and any witnesses are urged to call 911 or 88-CRIME. An active investigation is currently underway.
