One Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Collision near Canyon Drive
OCEANSIDE, CA (February 6, 2024) – One unidentified victim died Sunday evening, in a pedestrian accident on State Route 76.
The incident occurred around 6:23 p.m., near Canyon Drive.
Per reports, the driver of a westbound white Toyota Prius struck a person crossing from south to north outside of a marked crosswalk.
Due to the extent of their condition, first responders declared the pedestrian dead at the scene. Although, police have not yet released their identity.
Meanwhile, the involved driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
