1 Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Accident near North Alterra Parkway

MARICOPA, AZ (February 5, 2024) – Early Thursday morning, one rider was killed in a motorcycle crash on John Wayne Parkway.

Authorities attempted to pull over the motorcyclist around 3:00 a.m., near North Alterra Parkway on February 1st.

Per reports, the rider initially stopped at the intersection of John Wayne Parkway and Honeycutt Road before speeding off. The motorcyclist then crashed less than a mile away, near North Alterra Parkway.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. Although, police have not yet released their name or place of residency.

Emergency personnel closed off the surrounding area during clearing operations. Once available, further details will be provided.
