Man Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Collision on San Fernando Road [Pacoima, CA]
Three Drivers Sought Following Deadly Pedestrian Crash near Montague Street
PACOIMA, CA (February 5, 2024) – Late Friday night, a hit-and-run pedestrian collision on San Fernando Road claimed the life of one man.
Authorities responded to the scene around 11:25 p.m., just south of Montague Street on January 12th.
Officers say driver of a pickup-truck was traveling the wrong-way and struck a man who was crossing the street. A second vehicle also hit the man as he was trying to get up, throwing him onto the other lanes.
There, the driver of a third vehicle also struck the pedestrian. All three drivers fled the scene before authorities arrived.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics later pronounced the male pedestrian dead at the scene. At this time, the identity of the deceased victim remains undisclosed.
The city is offering a reward of up to $50,000 to anyone who can lead the authorities to the arrest of the suspect. Police are asking anyone with additional information to LAPD Officer Sison at 818-644-8022 or Officer Freeman at 818-644-8115.
