15-Year-Old High School Student Fatally Struck in Pedestrian Crash near Ina Road

TUCSON, AZ (February 5, 2024) – Late Friday evening, Julian Jennings was killed in a pedestrian accident on Interstate 10.

Police responded to the scene around 10:30 p.m., near Ina Road on January 26th.

Officers say the driver of a westbound Ford Mustang struck Jennings and another student who were attempting to cross Interstate 10. During preliminary duties, the driver stated that he attempted to avoid the pedestrians by swerving right, but was unable to do so.

Despite life-saving efforts, medics later pronounced 15-year-old dead at the scene. Meanwhile, the other student was suffering from a broken leg.

Investigators say both teenagers were students at Mountain View High School. At this time, there is no word about the driver, and the incident is still under investigation.
