39-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Motorcycle Crash near West Lake Mead Boulevard
LAS VEGAS, NV (February 5, 2024) – Early Friday evening, Edward Lee Montgomery was killed in a motorcycle accident on US 95.
The incident occurred just before 5:50 p.m., on the southbound lanes near West Lake Mead Boulevard on January 26th.
Officers say a motorcyclist crashed into the front of a southbound SUV, causing life-threatening injuries to the rider.
Despite life-saving efforts, medics later pronounced the rider, 39-year-old Montgomery, of Las Vegas dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the SUV driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Following preliminary duties, officers suspect speed to be a factor.
Emergency crews closed off the southbound lanes during clearing operations. At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
