7-Year-Old Child Dies in Three-Vehicle Collision near North 31st Street

WACO, TX (February 1, 2024) – On December 21st, a child was fatally struck in a head-on accident on West Lake Shore Drive.

The incident occurred just before 12:30 p.m., near North 31st Street.

According to reports, the driver of a vehicle traveled the wrong way on the road before eventually colliding head-on with another car. In addition, a third vehicle became involved.

Investigators described the involved vehicles as a Ford heavy duty pickup, a white wagon-style vehicle, and another car.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced one 7-year-old passenger dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released their name.

Emergency personnel closed off the surrounding area for a brief time during cleanup and preliminary duties. At this time, an active investigation to determine further information about the head-on accident on West Lake Shore Drive is still currently underway.
