Unidentified Motorcyclist Killed in Three-Vehicle Collision near Union Hills Drive
PHOENIX, AZ (January 31, 2024) – Wednesday evening, one rider was pronounced dead after a three-vehicle accident on Interstate 17.
Officers responded to the scene around 7:30 p.m., near Union Hills Drive on January 24th after receiving multiple dispatch calls in the area.
For reasons under investigation, three vehicles collided in the area. Upon arrival, first responders located a rider unconscious down on the road.
Despite life-saving efforts, medical personnel later pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene. Although, authorities have not yet released their name or place of residency.
Troopers blocked the freeway for several hours to conduct cleanup and preliminary duties before it was reopened by 1:00 a.m. At this time, further investigation is being handled by the Arizona troopers.
