Mary Crockett Dies in Two-Vehicle Collision on Highway 31 [Tyler, TX]
55-Year-Old Woman Fatally Injured in 2-Car Accident on Surrey Trail
TYLER, TX (January 30, 2024) – Tuesday evening, Mary Crockett was killed in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 31.
Around 5:50 p.m., officers responded to the 3000 block of Highway 31 near Surrey Trail.
Per reports, 40-year-old Mercedes Lopez-Moran was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado east on the freeway. Inside the Chevy were passengers 20-year-old Gabriella Bilchis, 12-year-old William Bilchis, and 1-year-old Isabella Bilchis.
Meanwhile, Crocket was driving a 2006 Chrysler 300 north on County Road 2212 and attempted to turn west onto the highway and struck the Chevy.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced 55-year-old Crockett, of Tyler dead at the scene. Meanwhile, paramedics transported the four others to CHRISTUS Mother Frances in Tyler, for further treatment.
At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
