37-Year-Old Motorcyclist Dies in RTC Bus Crash near Jimmy Durante Boulevard
LAS VEGAS, NV (January 29, 2024) – Monday afternoon, Paul Kulpinsky was fatally struck in a motorcycle collision on Tropicana Avenue.
Dispatchers received calls in the area around 3:10 p.m., near Jimmy Durante Boulevard on January 15th.
Police say the driver of an RTC bus was heading east on Tropicana Avenue, attempting to turn onto Jimmy Durante Boulevard with a green light.
Meanwhile, Kulpinsky was riding an eastbound 2012 Honda CBR250R and traveled through a red light at high speeds on Tropicana Avenue. As a result, the motorcycle collided with the bus at the intersection.
The impact ejected the rider from his motorcycle onto the road, causing life-threatening injuries. Responding paramedics pronounced 37-year-old Kulpinsky, of Boulder City dead at the scene.
During preliminary investigations, the bus driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. Officers say he displayed no signs of impairment.
At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
