59-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Pedestrian Accident near Gateway Oaks Drive
SACRAMENTO, CA (January 29, 2024) – Jeffrey Blain was killed Wednesday evening, in a pedestrian collision on Garden Highway.
Police responded to the scene around 7:00 p.m., at the 1400 block of Garden Highway near Gateway Oaks Drive.
According to reports, the driver of a vehicle struck the pedestrian while he was walking along the highway. Upon impact, the driver immediately pulled over and contacted emergency services.
Despite life-saving efforts, medics later pronounced the male pedestrian dead at the scene. Sacramento Officials identified the deceased man as 59-year-old Blain.
Following preliminary duties, authorities do not suspect intoxication to be a factor.
