Jonathan Ojeda Dies in UTV Crash on Highway 4 [Martinez, CA]
30-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after UTV Collision near Wolcott Lane
MARTINEZ, CA (January 26, 2024) – Late Sunday morning, Jonathan Ojeda was fatally injured in a UTV crash on Highway 4.
Officers responded to the scene around 11:00 a.m., near Franklin Canyon Road and Wolcott Lane.
Per reports, 30-year-old Ojeda was operating a northbound Can-Am utility task vehicle with two passengers. Ojeda then failed to make a turn on a wet, muddy road and collided with a chain-link fence.
The UTV then rolled over, and two passengers were able to jump off. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics later pronounced 30-year-old Ojeda dead at the scene.
Authorities say he was not wearing a seat belt. Further investigation is currently being handled by the Martinez Police, and witnesses are encouraged to call their office at (925) 646-4980.
