18-Year-Old Male Passenger Pronounced Dead after Three-Vehicle Crash near North McCarty Road

PIMA COUNTY, AZ (January 26, 2024) – Wednesday, a three-vehicle collision on North La Cholla Boulevard claimed the life of Gael Carrasco.

Police responded to the scene around 7:30 p.m., near North McCarty Road on January 10th.

Officers say one of the involved vehicles was potentially traveling without head lights. The second vehicle then made a turn into the first vehicle’s path, and the two collided.

In addition, a third vehicle ran over debris and became disabled. Upon arrival, responding officers found 18-year-old Carrasco with no signs of life and pronounced him dead at the scene.

Additionally, paramedics took two occupants inside the second vehicle to a nearby hospital for treatment of minor wounds. Once available, further details will be provided.
