Woman Fatally Struck in Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Accident near Wakefield Avenue
PANORAMA CITY, CA (January 25, 2024) – Friday evening, one woman was fatally struck in a hit-and-run pedestrian crash on Roscoe Boulevard.
The incident occurred around 6:05 p.m., near Wakefield Avenue.
Per reports, the driver of a westbound vehicle struck a woman who was walking north outside of a marked crosswalk.
Upon arrival, officers located the woman down on the road with major injuries. Paramedics eventually rushed the victim to a nearby hospital where she later passed away.
At this time, authorities are searching for the suspect’s vehicle described as a lowered, dark-colored, GMC Sierra. The driver was last seen traveling northbound on Lennox Avenue from Roscoe Boulevard.
Panorama City officials are offering a reward of up to $50,000 to anyone who can provide information leading to the suspect’s arrest. Once available, further details will be provided.
