86-Year-Old Driver Hospitalized after SUV Vs. Sedan Collision Near Fourth Street
LIVERMORE, CA (January 25, 2023) – Tuesday afternoon, a man was injured in a major two-vehicle crash on Holmes Street.
Police responded to the fatal collision around 2:30 p.m. in the area of Holmes Street near Fourth Street.
According to the report, a northbound gray Nissan sedan collided with a blue Honda SUV traveling eastbound along Murrieta Boulevard.
The investigators claimed that the Nissan driver, without wearing a seatbelt, sped past a red light, resulting in the crash.
Medical responders rushed the 86-year-old Nissan driver to a hospital for treatment of significant injuries. Meanwhile, the 68-year-old Honda driver did not sustain any injuries.
In the end, officials closed the intersection on Holmes Street and Fourth for investigation. Police are asking anyone with additional information about the two-vehicle crash to contact local authorities as soon as possible.
