Pedestrian-Auto Collision in Bakersfield Apartment Complex Injures 4-Year-Old Girl
BAKERSFIELD, CA (January 24, 2024) – Saturday afternoon, a pedestrian accident on Beardsley Avenue sent a female juvenile to a hospital.
The CHP responded to the incident on January 13th at around 3:25 p.m. in an apartment complex parking lot at 115 Beardsley Avenue.
Upon arrival, the officers learned that a 2007 Toyota sedan struck a 4-year-old girl walking in an easterly direction while backing northbound.
According to the investigators, the 43-year-old failed to see the child, hitting her with the rear of her vehicle.
Medical responders transported the young girl to a hospital for treatment of significant injuries. Police do not suspect drugs and alcohol to be a factor in the collision.
