Two Men Pronounced Dead after Single-Vehicle Crash near Mile Post 276

OKANOGAN COUNTY, WA (January 24, 2024) – Thursday, Terry Thompson and Raymond Thompson died in a crash on State Route 20.

Authorities responded to the scene around 6:45 p.m., on the westbound lanes of the freeway near Mile Post 276 on January 11th.

Per reports, Terry was driving a 2003 Ford F-150 pickup-truck west and attempted to drive into a no-pass zone. There, Terry lost control of the pickup-truck and veered down an embankment before overturning in a creek.

Medical personnel arrived and pronounced 77-year-old Terry and 57-year-old Raymond dead at the scene.

Following preliminary duties, officers did not confirm whether or not impairment played a factor. An active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway.
