Two-Vehicle Collision Near Oak Creek Road Resulted in Fatality
TEHACHAPI, CA (January 24, 2024) – Thursday morning, a two-vehicle accident on Tehachapi Willow Springs Road took the life of a male driver.
The deadly collision happened on January 18th, at around 7:19 a.m., along Tehachapi Willow Springs Rd, just south of Oak Creek Road.
According to CHP, a 2023 Hyundai Tucson traveling collided with a 2024 BMW. Investigators said the two vehicles were going in opposite directions when the crash occurred.
Unfortunately, the first responders declared the male Hyundai driver dead at the scene. However, his identity remains undisclosed to the public, pending notification from the next of kin.
It was unclear if the 37-year-old Tehachapi woman driving the BMW sustained injuries from the crash.
Investigators suspect impairment to be a factor in the incident. Authorities are asking those who witnessed the crash to contact Officer Lombardi at the CHP Mojave Area office at (661) 823-5500.
