52-Year-Old Man, 57-Year-Old Woman Hospitalized after a Three-Vehicle Crash near Milepost 42

YAKIMA COUNTY, WA (January 17, 2024) – On Sunday evening, troopers responded to a three-vehicle collision on Interstate 82.

The Washington State Patrol stated that the incident happened just before 9:20 p.m., January 7th, involving three vehicles.

According to the troopers, the first vehicle was driven by a 52-year-old man, a 57-year-old woman drove the second vehicle, and the third vehicle was driven by a 67-year-old man.

Furthermore, the troopers learned that all three vehicles headed eastbound near milepost 42 when one of them struck the other causing the third vehicle to hit them.

Consequently, the emergency medical personnel arrived at the scene and transported the first driver to Harborview Medical Center. The woman was taken to MultiCare Memorial Hospital.

Fortunately, the third driver did not sustain any injuries from the collision.

Moreover, charges may be filed against the first driver, police say, and further investigation is still ongoing.
