Two Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Collision on Westbound State Highway 36

CALLAHAN COUNTY, TX (January 16, 2024) – Saturday evening, a pick-up crash on State Highway 36 left Dennis Warren and Cristobal Solis dead.

Officers responded to the westbound lanes of the freeway shortly after receiving multiple dispatch calls.

Officers say Warren was driving a pickup-truck east on the freeway when he veered into oncoming lanes. There, the pickup-truck collided head-on with another truck, driven by Solis.

Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced 55-year-old Warren, of Houston and 48-year-old Solis, of Abilene dead at the scene.

At this time, an active investigation to determine further information is still currently underway. Once available, more details will be provided.
