15-Year-Old Boy Pronounced Dead after Auto Accident near Aguanieve Drive

LAREDO, TX (January 15, 2024) – Wednesday evening, Mark Manzanares was killed in a pedestrian collision on Cuatro Vientos Boulevard.

Authorities responded to the scene around 7:55 p.m., near Aguanieve Drive.

Officers say Manzanares and his 22-year-old brother were crossing the street, walking to the convenience store. There, the driver of a 2019 Dodge Charger struck the two pedestrians.

Upon impact, Christopher Anthony Perales stopped to render aid contact police. Perales also provided a blood sample at the hospital.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics later pronounced 15-year-old Manzanares dead.
