The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m., near Central Street on January 1st.

There, the driver of a passing vehicle struck her, causing life-threatening injuries. Paramedics arrived and transported 23-year-old Garcia to a nearby hospital where she later died.
Police also say Garcia was the mother of a 6-month-old baby boy. Vega posted a GoFundMe page to help with funeral expenses.
