85-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Car Collision near Kickapoo Road
WALLER, TX (January 12, 2024) – Friday evening, Shelley Buttram was arrested after a fatal auto accident on Hempstead Road.
The incident occurred around 11:08 p.m., near Kickapoo and Kermier Road.
Officers say Buttram was driving a Mazda Miata with her father as a passenger. Buttram then attempted to make an unsafe left turn, causing a BMW to strike her vehicle.
Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced the passenger, Buttram’s 85-year-old father, dead on his way to the hospital.
Following preliminary duties, authorities charged Buttram with intoxication and manslaughter. Her bond was set at $50,000.00.
