Brett Jones Killed, Anna Agosto Hurt in 2-Car Accident on US 87 [Hartley, TX]
23-Year-Old Man Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Collision near Dalhart
HARTLEY COUNTY, TX (January 12, 2024) – Thursday afternoon, Brett Jones died and Anna Agosto sustained injuries in a crash on US 87.
The incident occurred around 6:15 p.m., about six miles southwest of Dalhart.
Investigators say 19-year-old Garrett Henderson, of Farwell was driving a 2017 Ford F-250 southwest at an unsafe speed in snowy conditions. As a result, the Ford slid into the northeast lanes and struck a 2014 Nissan Altima head-on.
Medics arrived and pronounced 23-year-old Jones, of Stone Mountain, Georgia dead at the scene. In addition, paramedics took 22-year-old Agosto, of Tucson, AZ to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
