21-Year-Old Female Passenger Fatally Struck in Multi-Vehicle Collision near South Vancouver Avenue

EAST LOS ANGELES, CA (January 11, 2024) – Tuesday morning, Evelyn Ortega Solis was killed in a 7-car accident on East Olympic Boulevard.

Police officers responded to the scene around 12:15 a.m., on the eastbound lanes of the road near South Vancouver Avenue on December 26th.

According to reports, two vehicles collided and crashed into five other vehicles. Footage from the scene also shows a pickup-truck on top of another vehicle with extreme damage.

Authorities pronounced 21-year-old Solis, who was a passenger, dead at the scene. Crews also arrested the suspect driver while the other driver was taken to a nearby hospital.

Moreover, officers believe speed was a potential factor of the incident. Although, further investigation is still currently ongoing.
