Multi-Vehicle Pile-Up Near Skytt Mesa Drive Left One Person Injured

SOLVANG, CA (January 10, 2024) – Friday afternoon, a three-vehicle crash on Highway 246 near Buellton sent one person to a hospital. 

The collision happened around 1:15 p.m. at the 1000 block of Highway 246 west of Solvang near Skytt Mesa Drive.

According to the CHP, the incident was initially reported as a non-injury collision. However, responding to emergency personnel rushed one man to a hospital for moderate injuries. 

No other injuries were reported from the crash. At this time, the Santa Barbara County officials are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. 

At around 2:30 p.m., officials reopened Highway 146 while heavy traffic remained in the area.
