26-Year-Old Woman Dies in Pedestrian Collision on Clarendon Avenue

PHOENIX, AZ (January 9, 2024) – Wednesday morning, Michelle Soto was fatally struck in a pedestrian accident on 67th Avenue.

Police officers responded to the scene around 6:00 a.m., near Clarendon Avenue on January 3rd.

According to reports, the driver of a southbound SUV struck Soto as she was standing mid-block. Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics later pronounced 26-year-old Soto dead at the scene.

Meanwhile, the driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. The driver was then evaluated and displayed no signs of being impaired.
