Five Hospitalized after Hit-and-Run Collision near Civic Center Plaza

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (January 4, 2024) – Tuesday evening, five victims sustained injuries in a pursuit collision on Pennsylvania Avenue.

According to reports, the accident happened around 6:00 p.m., near Civic Center Plaza and Hyde Street.

Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly after.

Consequently, the suspect hit a vehicle occupied by three people before continuing to flee the officers. The three occupants received non-life-threatening injuries from the crash. 

According to the police, the suspect also hit a pedestrian before coming to a stop on Pennsylvania Avenue in Bayview. 

Responding emergency personnel transported all victims including the pedestrian and the suspect to a hospital for treatment.
