Rider Killed in Crash on Dean Martin Drive [Las Vegas, NV]
26-Year-Old Motorcyclist Died after a Traffic Collision on Ponderosa Way
LAS VEGAS, NV (January 2, 2024) – Early Monday morning, police responded to a fatal crash on Dean Martin Drive and Ponderosa Way.
According to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, the incident happened just before 1:00 a.m., December 24th.
Furthermore, the accident involved a 2020 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter van and a 2019 Ducati Scrambler motorcycle.
Investigation showed that the van headed northbound to Dean Martin while the Ducati headed southbound. As the van made a left turn at the intersection, it went into the path of the rider and caused a collision.
Unfortunately, the 26-year-old motorcyclist got ejected from his motorcycle and paramedics pronounced him dead.
Furthermore, the driver of the van stayed at the scene and he displayed no signs of being impaired. An active investigation is still ongoing at this time.
